Concert Program
Concert Flyer
Michael Milton - Conductor
Sam Peng, Thalia Huston, Lucy Rattigan, Nicole Durdin - Horn Soloists

Featuring the Adelaide Horn Jam

Sibelius – Finlandia
Hübler – Concerto for Four Horns
Sibelius – Symphony No. 2 in D Major
Plus horn octets by Rossini, Glière and more!

Experience the majestic sounds of the Nordic landscape in Call of the North, showcasing the rich, evocative music of Jean Sibelius and the bold virtuosity of Heinrich Hübler.
The concert opens with Sibelius’s Finlandia, a powerful anthem of national pride that represents the spirit of Finland’s independence.

Then, be captivated by Hübler’s Concerto for Four Horns, where our four talented soloists will join forces in a brilliant display of horn playing at its best, followed by three stunning horn octets by our featured guests, the Adelaide Horn Jam. The concert concludes with Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major, a sweeping, triumphant work that conjures the vast, untamed beauty of the North!

Tickets are available online until 1 hour before the session time. Please have your tickets ready to present at the door, either printed or on your smartphone. All advertised prices are inclusive of a 50c per ticket booking fee, which will be added to your order during check-out, and include a complimentary printed or digital program.

Any remaining tickets will be available at the door from 2pm - cash only. However, as our recent concerts have been popular, we encourage guests to book early online to avoid disappointment.

All seating is general admission. You will need to select either stalls or dress circle when booking. Note that the dress circle has limited visibility to the front of the orchestra and is only accessible by stairs.

For the comfort of others, we kindly ask that children 12 and under are supervised by an adult at all times and remain quiet while the orchestra is performing.

Refunds (excluding the 50c TryBooking fee) are available for change-of-mind up until 48 hours before the event or if you are unable to attend due to illness or extenuating circumstances on the day. All refund requests for online sales must be submitted by email ([email protected]) and will not be processed at the venue box office.
