Michael Milton
Based in Adelaide since 1996, Michael Milton is Principal Second Violin of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. Michael began his studies in Sydney and then travelled to the USA on scholarship for further study and work. After working for a short period in France he returned to Australia and joined his brother Nicholas (now a Grammy nominated conductor) at the ASO. Michael has worked with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, and toured with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Macquarie Trio. In addition to his duties with the ASO, he also teaches and plays both violin and viola. Michael is the conductor of the Norwood Symphony Orchestra as of the beginning of 2016, taking over from David Reid who was conductor of the orchestra since 1992.
